Easter approaches and some schools are already into the Easter break.  There is lots going on in the District over the Easter holidays starting this weekend with the Harrogate Scouts and Guides Gang Show at the Royal Hall on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 April.  There are 3 performances including a matinee on the Saturday afternoon.  We hope to see you there.  If you haven’t already got your tickets, some are still available on the door.

Many of our groups are away on camp over the Easter holidays, mostly weekend camps, and throughout Yorkshire. Our own Thornthwaite campsite is popular too.

At the end of the Easter break we have the annual St George’s Day Parade in Harrogate, starting from West Park and ending at Christ Church with a service of thanksgiving and a renewal of our Scouting promise.  This year it falls on the actual St George’s Day, 23 April.  Information has been sent out to all groups and we hope to see you there.  Some of you in the more geographically distant parts of the District will have your own parades and services, but for all it is a good opportunity to promote Scouting in the District.

We hope everyone will have a good Easter holiday, and come back refreshed at the end of April, ready for more fun and adventure in Scouting.
