Another busy few months in HANDS.  In May we held the annual Teko, Tohunga and Tahwiri expedition camp at Hawes.  The weather could have been better, being somewhat cold and blustery, and there was even frost overnight.  All teams finished the course, and appear to have benefitted from what they learned about being prepared, teamwork and effort.  There is a report on the event on the County website, and thanks to all those who took part or helped at the event.

This month we have our District AGM at Christ Church where we celebrate what we have achieved as a District, and a new Executive Committee is voted in.  Over the next year we shall be looking again at the Scouting Vision, this time for the next 5 years, since 2018 is almost upon us.  Nationally, Summit 17 was held in April, and we shall be tasked with prioritising what came out of that.

We look forward to the challenge!
