HQ Meeting Rooms

About

The meeting and training room at out Culross House HQ can be used free of charge by Groups within the District. The rooms can be booked for the day, half day or evening or by the hour. Availability can be checked on the calendar

For a small charge, the rooms at Culross House are also bookable by Scout and Guide Groups from outside the District and other organisations such as societies and clubs. All users of our facilities must agree to the terms and conditions set out below and in the linked terms and conditions and policy documents.

Main Hall / Training Room

The training room/main hall provides a large meeting space and includes seating for approx 38 people. 4 large rectangular tables are also provided along with two smaller round meeting tables.

A large screen display can be used for presentations and wifi internet access is available.

Meeting Room

The first floor meeting room provides space for 6/8 people and includes a meeting table and large screen display for presentations. Internet access is also available.

How to make a booking

Bookings can be made through Online Scout Manager. If you already have an OSM login then you can sign in using that. If you do not have an OSM login then you can create one (only basic information name, email address and contact phone number are required)

  • Having signed in to OSM you will see the availability calendar as shown in the screenshot. Use the "Add Booking" button in the top right to create a new booking.

  • Complete basic details about your booking include your Group Name, booking dates and organisation type (District Scouts, Other Scouts/Guides, Commercial Org/Club/Society)
  • In the bookable items list you will find the two rooms that can be booked, each with the option to book by the hour, half day (4 hourly session) or full day (8 hourly session). Choose the most appropriate for your situation and click the "Add to Booking' button to add the selected session to your booking.
  • To submit the booking for approval. Click the "Submit Booking" button in the yellow are at the top of the page.
  • A customer details form will pop up allowing you to enter your name and contact details (as mentioned, please provide a phone number). Finally, click the "Save" button to submit it for approval.

Once you have made your booking in OSM then booking administrator will check and approve your booking. After which you will receive a confirmation email. Access to the building is granted via a smart lock system. Shortly before your booking is due to commence one of the team will contact you and provide details of what you need to do to access the Smart Locks.
